Rapperswil-Jona Cultural Stations – A Tour of a Shared History
An open-air museum on the history of the two communities of Rapperswil and Jona
The communities of Rapperswil and Jona have been united to form a single municipality since 2007. A total of 36 information panels distributed across the town provide an insight into the over 3,500 year-old history of the two communities.
Each information panel relates the significance of the relevant buildings, squares, or streets, thus forming a publicly accessible, open-air museum on the history and development of the once separate communities.
