Snowshoe Walking in Amden

As you walk through freshly fallen snow in winter landscapes you feel far from all kinds of civilization. And yet you reach this winter sports area in just around an hour from Zurich. Snowshoe walking spells real winter adventure and is a sport continually growing in popularity. The Flügenspitz (1,703 meters / 5,587 feet above sea level) and the Hintere Höhe have scenic trails through the snowy mountain world.  

 In the Amden tourism office you can get free route suggestions.  On request you can also hike with an expert guide who will teach beginners the snowshoeing tricks and introduce you to some of the most beautiful areas.
