Schauspielhaus: Schiffbau
Ships were once built here at the Schiffbau. Today the industrial building is used for culture and cuisine and contributes to the lively cultural scene in the trendy Zurich-West quarter.
Since 2000 the Zurich Schauspielhaus has been staging performances on three theater stages in the “Schiffbau” industrial building where ships were once built. Three stages named the Schiffbauhalle, the Box and the Matchbox that have achieved Europe-wide fame in the short span of time since their creation.
The Moods Jazz Club and the trendy Restaurant LaSalle are also discovered at this same spot.
