Bike Tour Pilgrimage

The Pilger-Route (Pilgrimage Route) from Konstanz to Rapperswil is also known as the “Schwabenweg”, because in medieval times predominantly pilgrims from Swabia chose this route to make their way to Einsiedeln.

The cycle path leads through Canton Thurgau and the Zurich Oberland to Lake Zurich, and from there over the Etzel Pass to Einsiedeln. It follows well-signed paths and roads, and takes you over cultivated fields and along large and small streams and rivers. The route then wends its way through valleys and along ranges of hills to Lake Zurich, which you cross via the wooden bridge in Rapperswil before heading over the Etzel to Einsiedeln.
