Chäserrugg in Winter – For Hiking or Skiing
Not far from Zurich, high above the beautiful Lake Walen, is a wonderful nature paradise. Here in the Chäserrugg region, everyone can find a fun way of getting some exercise, whatever their physical condition. And with the summit restaurant designed by Herzog & de Meuron, an architectural highlight is also awaiting visitors from near and far. Various mountain railways and cableways, including a new 10-seater gondola, swiftly transport visitors up to the heights, where they can enjoy a breathtaking panorama. From here, they are treated to unrestricted views of six countries and around 500 mountain peaks.
In winter, the Chäserrugg is a popular ski area. Besides eight ski pistes of varying levels of difficulty, some beautiful hiking routes provide variation. Or you can race down to the valley on a toboggan and enjoy the perfectly prepared pistes and spectacular views along the way.
