Sihl Adventure Trail – Hike from the Source of the River to the City
A walk in seven stages along the Sihl river toward Zurich.

The Sihl Adventure Trail is a stunning long-distance hiking trail that stretches over seven stages from Unteriberg in the Schywz Prealps to Platzspitz Park in Zurich. It covers a distance of some 107 km and combines moorlands, nature parks, and cultural highlights – ideal for walkers who want to experience nature, water, and the city in one hike.
The route begins at the source of the Sihl river below the Höch Hund in Chräloch and follows the river through alpine meadows, the culturally important landscape of Schwantenau, and the Sihlwald Nature Discovery Park. It ends at the confluence of the Sihl and Limmat rivers in Platzspitz Park, Zurich. Along the way, various places such as Einsiedeln Abbey and the locations of the seven different stages invite visitors to stop and contemplate a while.
