Erlenbach–Küsnacht Gorge Path – Babbling Brooks and Hidden Natural Gems
This walk follows two idyllic gorges and features waterfalls, caves, and geological wonders.

This nature hike, which is approximately 11 kilometer (7 miles) long, takes walkers from Erlenbach into the ruggedly romantic natural setting of the Erlenbach and Küsnacht gorges and continues on all the way down to Lake Zurich. Waterfalls, caves, boulders, and shady forest paths await along the way.
After the starting point in Erlenbach, the route soon leads into the green surroundings of the gorge before gently climbing toward the Küsnacht gorge, past the upper Erlenbach waterfall. There, shallow pools invite hikers to take a refreshing dip, while fascinating sights like the Küsnacht Erratikus – an impressive erratic boulder from the Ice Age – and the mysterious Dragon’s Cave lie waiting to be discovered.
The walk finishes conveniently in the center of Küsnacht, where restaurants and Lake Zurich offer the perfect way to relax and recover.
