Ice Skating in Rapperswil

Oceanice Rapperswil-Jona
Directly next to the ice rink, on the roof of the boat hall, is the largest synthetic ice rink in Switzerland. It is largely made from recycled ocean plastic. Oceanice in Rapperswil is a revolutionary concept that allows ice sports to take place independent of the weather and temperature and at the same time offers a sustainable alternative to conventional ice rinks. Ice skating on the synthetic ice rink is possible with both normal ice skates and the newly developed Sharkblades. These blades consist of a metal composite and improve gliding and stopping. Sharkblades can be hired on site.
